Snow... :(

My dad and I climbed timp this year. I just have to tell ya...
It was the scariest thing I have ever accomplished!
I thought it would be a peace of cake compared to hiking through the whole grand canyon, but you know what, snow is my problem. You guys, I am not looking forward to winter! That is my weakness, snow.
As you can see, that mountain has a lot of it, well, that mountain isn't actually Timpanogus, but just to see snow way up there, doesn't it make you dizzy?!
We went when it was summer, and it still had tones of snow.
As we were reaching to the top, fog surrounded us and we couldn't see ten feet in front of us!
We never reached the top, but I am actually going to climb it for my third time next year and I will reach the top!
This post is suppose to encourage all of you guys to just make up your mind, live what you want and do what you love to do. But especially, to keep at it!

Like a lot of people...

Like a lot of kids, I sit here in my room, on my bed comfortable and snug hoping to get a good page written, and right now, like most kids, I stay up late until my work is done, unless I am like some kids, who are just lazy enough to fall right to sleep on there key bored. :)
Today, like too many people, there is a flue hazard in my family...
Sorry, I'm not suppose to be spreading bad new, but the cutest thing happened today when my brother continued to be sick.
He found out the swine flue was going around and was told it was dangerous.
Petrified by the thought, he wasn't at all worried about his own health, instead, he locked himself down stairs making sure none of the rest of the family would catch his sickness.
My dad brought the T.V from his office next to my parents bed.
Cade watched “Monsters V.S Aliens” and has been in that room with my dad together all day long so he wouldn't be afraid to give any one the swine flue.
My hope is that everyone will think of him and though most aren't afraid of any flues going around, the swine flue has already killed over two thousand people.
So please remember to wash your hands, not only for your health, but the health of the ones around you.

Just keep that in thought please.

Anyway, I realized today that my older sister Morgan has been thinking a lot about her future for her future family.
She even brought me her house plans until she asked me “How are you going to raise your kids Madison?” right then I realized me and her were going to have some kind of war to see who's children are the most decent, or maybe even who's kids are the smartest.
At that point I thought about my mom and her sister. It always seams like they both work so hard to make sure there kids are the greatest kids in the whole world!
Do you want to here my solution for getting out of this situation?
I'm just going to move to Africa.
:)

Ha ha, I can here Morgan downstairs threw my vent. She's talking on the phone to here boy friend.
I don't really care about having a boy friend until I'm about 17.
Morgan's boy friend is named Jacob, and he is in Texas right now for two months while leaving Morgan in agony until he comes back from visiting his family.

So...
Right now it is 12:31 a.m , so I guess I could say it is Tuesday now instead of Monday.
That always freaks me out, THE HECK WITH TUESDAY! It should still be Monday.

Anyways, I guess I have to say goodnight and end this page.
So, I will see ya later.
Remember what I said about the swine flue!

When you ask...
"what the heck is a blog?" The answer is here.
Some people want others to see their pictures, others seem to want it because their friends have one, but a real blog is suppose to be a public, life long, on going journal.
In my house, I have about 5 journals total, not because I love to make things more interesting and pick out another cool looking writing tool, because unfortunately, I misplace them,
but when I finally reasoned to get a blog, my life didn't change, I just found a place where I could put it.
"My name is Madison Barksdale"... See, that's a start for a journal.
Now we just have to put the interesting things in there...
Umm... lets see, hobbies... hobbies are interesting!
My hobbies:
1. I love to play the cello.
2. I like to stay close to the gross and the exciting stuff, I guess thats because the boring stuff is just not me.
3. Well, I like to go camping, and I love climbing and stuff like that. And the most awesome thing I absolutely can not stop doing, is back packing, I am the back packing queen! So, take me with you next time you go through the Grand Canyon :)

Well, I guess from most of that you can tell I am pretty adventurous, so I guess the next step is...
WHERE I LIVE!
Yes, that is interesting to some people, except I can't like, give you my whole address you know, that would be kind of stupid of me... he, he, he. anyway.
I live in Utah, yes, that is in the United states of America which could be referd to as paradise to most people because, well, you know, America is like the place everyone is talking about, which would lead to the topic of how great it is. :) so, in other news, I am a dumb blond with no job at age 15 which is lame just because I love money, yes, lots and lots of money, I already have like 50 dolors right now, ya!
My sister has probably about 300 dollars, but she has a job so, 50 dollars is like a thousand dolors to a person that doesn't have a job...
Never mind.
So, I guess the next thing ya do in a blog is tell what is up and what is happening at this moment.
"You will be very proud of me when I say that I have gotten all my homework done for today with Brain Honey."
Also my family is trying to get this darn home clean for tomorrow.
Why?
Well, I'll tell ya why!
My dad, along with the whole family (except My older sister. she's not on the same page) has decided to sell our house and move into the big country side to make our life turn into a hard working, slave driving, long living, farmer life.
Why again?
Some think we hate our neighbors, others wonder if we are even legal! but the truth about it all is...
We like cows.
And chickens and the fresh smell of open spaces. Don't worry, we don't hate our neighbors, and I was just joking about that illegal thing, my family just thinks its more reasonable to get away from the mortgage and build on a big peace of land so the whole family can enjoy it for the rest of there lives until the generations end. Cool huh?
I personally am very excited about the whole thing, and yes there has been some emotional times with my friends that I will never get over, but actually, they won't be seeing me for a long time anyway.
Why again you say?
I am going to China!
How long? ONE WHOLE YEAR! yes, it is long and I know you want to ask why again so i'll just get this out in the open... My grandparents have been to china for what ever the reason and however long ago, but they some how figured out I am ready to go too, so we are emailing some friends of their's, and making the arrangements, and I will be gone in two months tops!
Hopefully.
I am also very excited about that. We have even had a thirty year old women who came to live with us for a year just so I could take her class in high school and learn the Chinese language.
It was the most difficult lessons I have ever gotten involved in, but it was also very fun, and I was the best in my class, but I wouldn't encourage you to try to learn it for any stupid reason, unlike my reasons.
Anyway, I have decided I will make it a goal to put as many pictures of china as possible on my blog so you can see them and get an idea of what I am up to and what I have seen.
But that's not all, stick around and I will gradually put other pictures of places I have already been in the United states, ( because thats the only place I have been able to go, ) and like I said, America is paradise and I'll prove it!

Ta Ta for now, and I wish you many adventures to come, and many adventures to share... That means share them with me...

Leave The Earth as a Better Person.

Everyone knows what is right and wrong, of coarse the easer things just happen to be bad,
but as you will learn, taking a bad turn may be easy, but the weight of the world will grow, which will lead to harder decisions, because you know the the bad is easy to grab a hold of, but after words, depression will conquer, life will hold still, opportunity's will fly by, until the only decision left, is to let go, hold your breath, and simply cease to exist.
you don't only fail yourself, but those that created the decisions, some might have made a good path for you, and some, conquered your disability's, Until, the only thing you can hang on to, is the thought of knowing there may always be a way out, and the only thing left to feel,

is the wait of the world.

butterfly hapenstance.

Coincidental affects happen everywhere, and everyday.
If there is an amazing happenstance that you just happed to get threw the day without getting it by the car that just mist you by inches, it was because maybe the driver also had a happenstance that day.
for exampled...

If a spider happens to lay more eggs than it usually would, there will be more spiders on the earth, and because that egg hatched, lets say, in a small corner of a barn house, those little spiders would just happen to swarm more south than anywhere els, and lets say one of those spiders decided to go east.

And because that spider went east, it would have been eventually been scooped up and fed to a small group of crow birds and so now one of those birds had already gotton there share of there dinner for the day, but if the mother bird hadn't found any food that day, then that bird would have starved and died without eating that little spider that just happened to go east,
but since the bird did get that share of food and barely lived threw that day, than it would get healthy and strong.
And now it would be learning to fly, and since now it is on it's own it has discovered its own place to nest.
Now, if that bird just happened to find a good patch of dry dead grass near a old run down building, than it will be done with it's nest sooner.
But since it hadn't found that patch of dead grass, it decided to travel farther and end up being cot in the storm that had happened that day.
and now since it had just nested in a different tree, it wouldn't have been snatched up by a peregrine falcon in that exact spot it might have chosen to nest.
And because it decided to nest and travel farther to choose a different spot, that bird would now have laid healthy eggs that are now growing up and now there are at least three more crows on the earth today.
All because of the spider who laid more eggs than usual.

Now, because the bird had laid eggs and those freshly laid birds had gown healthy and well, than one of those birds would now be flying happily and freely in the old town it had grown up next to, and since it is flying in the town and wasn't more careful while flying for its first time that day,
eventually, it carelessly flew too low and nearly hit the same driver that nearly hit you and you wouldn't have made it threw this day.
but because the driver just happened to swerve away from you because it had been thrown off of where he was going from the bird, he did so without hitting you with his car because the bird was careless from being so happy to be flying because it had survived without it's mother being snatched up my that falcon because the bird had choses a different nest than the big oak tree and had also survived by that one little spider that just happened to go east and had hatched because a spider just happened to lay more eggs than usual.
you are ok and well.
And maybe some time, you should thank that spider, because it so happened to save your life.
And maybe you should look both ways before crossing the street,
because that spider may not have even been born without a happenstance.

Our diffrences.

I have two sisters & three brother, and all of us are completely different from each other.
My Little brother Landon: professional Arachnolegest, (spider person,) ore in other words, he is spider man.
He Is also totally involved with video games.
My little sister Sarah: Fashion model.
Older sister Morgan: On her way to becoming a great Artist In painting.
Younger brother Bridger: Loves to juggle.
Youngest brother Cade: knifes, guns, war, hunting... all that stuff.

Everyone has differences, mine:
Cello, Climbing, camping, hiking, backpacking, bug collecting, animals...

traveling the wold.

The thing we all have In common, Is our way's that lead us to greatness and to become the kind of people who don't care what others think.
We all think spiders are disgusting. But my brother doesn't.
why?
Because just like Me, being involved with insects, and animals, It Is his interest, & what ever interests we have, we can't hesitate to use it, because that Is what makes us great.

Use your talents for greatness.

Plane Reality.

As we grow, we realize something,
I don't know what that something is.
It is something you decide to put into your life.
you decide what you will be, who you'll be, and wen, you will be that something.
If life doesn't go as planed, I can't tell you how to fix what you did wrong.
You probably didn't do anything wrong at all.
and I can't tell you who to be.
I can't tell you wen to be it.

But for the sake of your happiness, I can tell you from all the rights in the world,
to be, something.

Learn.

I have been asked so many times what I loved to do, or what my favorite sport is, ore where I love to be more then any other places on earth, and how douse It involve this picture?
This was taken two days ago... June 12th 2009 In capital reef.
My favorite thing to do, Is back packing.
My favorite sport... back packing again, (and maybe a little volleyball) but the greatest things that comes from those questions, is the answers that I enjoy to tell people.
The experiences that come from the adventures In my life, has made me differently better then I thought to have ever been, and during the awareness of others that were of my attention in capital reef as we were camping, helped me realized, that I have know rite to stand there, and tell myself that the people that I have just met, are in anyway, my enemy, they are good people, and I loved them so much.
During the camping trip with my young women, I met a girl named Kayla, she is nice, shy, and amazing to be around, she had trouble while hiking.
I stood behind, making sure she wasn't the only young girl left behind.
I have learned more about service from just doing the simple things.

Threw the faith I had and the knowledge I have received from the small camping trip with those girls, I learned more about them, they learned more about me,
and I enjoyed it.
I have been there before, but I have never, ever felt the spirit more strongly than I did on this trip.

i want freedom

Change.

A change in a persons life, not only creates the most depressing emotions, but it can also make the best creations.

Change is a creation.

From the first moment the world stopped slavery, it changed the world, and though men were the reason for the awful things that have happened, there will always be someone there to say,

no.

Such as Gandhi, Martin Luther, and president Lincoln.

They all presented freedom in many ways, witch is what America is now, because of change.

quote by Madison barksdale

Be Prepared to change the world

The goal is not to change the world,
but to be prepared for the time wen you know it can now...
be changed.

Hellen Keller

Helen Keller was Blind, Deaf and could not speek. She is a great Example to those who are
In the proses in self pity, guilt, and unable to do what there heart desires.

Quotes, by Helen Keller.
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet.

Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn whatever state I am in, there in to be content

I do not want the peace which passeth understanding, I want the understanding which bringeth peace.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.

Never bend your head. Hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.

No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars or sailed an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit.

We can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.

Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything good in the world.

Smell is a potent wizard that transports you across thousand of miles and all the years you have lived.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart.

Live

During my years as a teenager, I learned more about the outside world, and as a little girl, it seemed harmful, until I got up to about the age of nine.
At that point in my life, I was inspired and ready for literal danger, and I assumed at that age, that all the danger came from tigers, and lions, and wolverines, and all that kind of stuff.
And so I learned more about them, and wrote down facts about four to five hours a day.
Later, at the age of ten or eleven, I became an expert in Entomology in my own way, and learned from the best professors as a volunteer.
I continued for years, and created a love for bugs and Animals, and as a volunteer, I discovered my own ways to help out at the "Bean museum" in the insect section of Entomology, I learned so much from a lot of people, and though I was only a volunteer and knew nothing about how they do the important stuff, I learned more then I expected and I am proud and glad I took that opportunity.
I am not only into the subjects of insects, but I also love my religion, I get most of my inspiration from my young womens group. They have tought me more about service then anything else I know how to bring effect into my life.
Girls camp is coming up soon, and I am trying to stay confidant in those situations.
Last night I went to the most amazing fireside meeting, which involved a speaker named
Jill Stevens.
She was in the army In Iraq, and was also the winner of the Miss Utah Pageant.
She told more about the army.
She showed us all the photos she had brought home from those experiences.
She served eight years in the Army.
I was so motivated as she spoke.
After she finished, I went up on the stand and asked for her autograph.
She also gave me her blog name as well.
I cant imagine how wonderful and amazing her life is like, but now I know what I want to do in my life.
While I am the age that I am, I will continue to learn more about how to be involved with service, and will never forget why.
There is also going to be a time in my life were I will want to be a missionary for my church, and serve others in that way as well, so, now, as a service to myself, I will stay alert for danger, spiritually, emotionally, and fiscally, not knowing what the world will throw at me in life.
And even at my age, I will stand as a soldier, creating ways to serve and defend my family, country, friends, and my beliefs.

Love

So many things.
knowing how many people are around you, there are so many things, so many things to invent, discover, create and learn...
And out of all those great and bad things, you get choices, and opportunities.
And out of all those many people, you make friends, and learn their cultures.
There are bad people, good people, white people and black people,
and the wrong thing to do when you think about being involved, is to judge those people.
Judging brings interference to your perspective in what you could see in those people and what they look like and how they live.
It prevents you from becoming something better, and it makes you think that out of all those many things, and out of all those many people, they are mostly bad things, and bad people,
and if you think about staying away from the bad and the good, there will be no choices, no opportunity to remind you about what is really in the world today, what is really around you that you don't know about.
We live to discover, create, and learn.
If the choice is to stay away from all those things, your life may not get any better then what you have been hoping for.
So, will you judge and run from the choices?
Or, will you chase the opportunity's?
